The number of sessions depends on factors like the size, color, location, and age of the tattoo, as well as your lifestyle habits. On average, multiple treatments are required, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart, to ensure proper healing and ink clearance.
The discomfort level is comparable to getting a tattoo. Some patients describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. For added comfort, a numbing cream or cooling device can be used during treatment.
